Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde des Kanadatreffs,
zunächst wünschen wir Euch noch nachträglich alles Gute für 2014. Wir hoffen, ihr hattet einen guten Start und träumt wieder bereits von Kanada. Oder seid ihr bereits dort?
Für diejenigen, die sich schon bald wieder über Kanada austauschen möchten, haben wir wieder ein paar Eventvorschläge. Zunächst findet am 06. Februar um 19 Uhr wieder unser Kanadatreff statt – wie immer in der Shennong Tea Lounge in Düsseldorf am Burgplatz. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn ihr wieder zahlreich dabei seid. Darüber hinaus findet am 04. Februar um 19 Uhr in der Bücherei in Grevenbroich ein Vortrag von Klaus Lüttgen statt, der unter dem Motto „20.000 Orden für Alaska“ steht. Er berichtet über eine abenteuerliche Reise mit seinem Hollandrad durch den Norden British Columbias, den Yukon und durch Alaska. Der Eintritt kostet 5 Euro, 30% davon geht an die Aktion „Ärzte ohne Grenzen“. Weitere Informationen hier.
Am 18. Februar findet bei der IHK in Hannover das Kanada-Forum statt. Veranstaltet wird dieses von der IHK Hannover in Zusammenarbeit mit der Deutsch-Kanadischen Handelskammer in Toronto. Schwerpunkte sind die Branchen „Life Science / Medizintechnik“ sowie „Maschinen und Anlagenbau“. Darüber hinaus geht es um das CETA-Abkommen, welches für Kanada und für die EU von großer Bedeutung ist. Die Teilnahme kostet 119 Euro. Dear friends of Canada and Germany,
first of all let us wish you all the best for 2014. We hope you had a good start and maybe you are dreaming about Canada (just at the moment) or you are actually in Canada.
For all the members who like to exchange their Canadian passion face to face, we have some suggestions for you. At first, we like to invite you to our next Kanadatreff meeting on February 6, 2014. We meet at 7 pm at the Shennong Tea Lounge in Düsseldorf and we are looking forward to seeing you!!! Our next suggestion is a presentation made by Klaus Lüttgen. He will show his “20.000 Orden für Alaska” on February 4, 2014 at 7 pm. at the public library in Grevenbroich (Stadtparkinsel). He will tell you about his bike trip (with a dutch bike) passing Alaska, Yukon and British Columbia. Costs: 5 Euro / person, 30 per cent of it is donated in favor of „Doctors without Borders“. On February 18, 2014 there will be the Kanada-Forum at the Chamber of Commerce in Hannover (IHK). The Kanada-Forum is organized by the IHK Hannover in cooperation with the German-Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Toronto. The following topics are given priority: the branches “Life Science / medical technology” and “machinery and plant engineering”. And the trade agreement CETA which is of high importance to Canada and to the EU. Costs are 119 € / person.
