“CETA – Good or Bad for Europe”
ON June 15, 2016, the European Commission will formally present the final CETA text to the Council of the European Union for approval. Among the hotly debated topics are the investment protection provisions.
BDI supports the agreement and favors a timely ratification and implementation. But the agreement also comes with some painful compromises and idle opportunities.MORE could have been achieved regarding rules of origin, for example. In her presentation,
Dr. Stormy-Annika Mildner will analyze the final CETA text from a German industry perspective. She will discuss why CETA is generally good for Europe and Germany and what would have been a better outcome in some areas.
