Doch wieso besinnen wir uns in der Weihnachtszeit immer wieder auf die schnulzigen Verse von Bing Crosby und wünschen uns verträumt eine romantische Decke aus Schnee herbei? Der Film geht der Leidenschaft des Regisseurs (und Weihnachtsliederliebhabers) Mitchell Kezin nach und präsentiert zwölf seiner meistgeliebten, alternativen Weihnachtssongs. Mitchell macht sich auf die Suche nach den Geschichten, die sich hinter den Klängen dieser unterschätzten Raritäten verstecken.

Germany’s first Weihnachtsfilmfestival (Christmas Film Festival) presents the Christmas theme in all its wonderful and curious varieties. National and international feature films and short films programs bring a new light to the old-fashioned Christmas subject. Next to comedies also critical, tragic, satirical and scary movies are part of the program. Knowing that Christmas time polarizes many people, it is still worth to embrace the heartily ‘Spirit of Christmas’. In the dark season of the year the cinema turns into a magical place that makes you think, touches you and sometimes casts a smile on your face. The Christmas Film Festivals festival is for those who want to escape the Christmas rush or do not have their loved ones around and of course passionate cinephiles. Exactly one year ago on Christmas Eve in the small isolated town of Baileys Down, two high school students were slaughtered in a sadistic blood-soaked ritual in the basement of their school. With the crime remaining unsolved three friends decide to get to the bottom of the mystery. However what they uncover proofs the existence of Krampus, a mythological demon and the Anti-Santa who hunts down the wicked on gives them what they deserve and now he has his sights set on them.
