Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde Kanadas, liebe Kanadierinnen und Kanadier,
wir hoffen,dass es Euch gut geht. Wir haben bereits Februar und der Karneval oder Fasching findet hier statt, während man in Kanada den Begriff Karneval oft in Verbindung mit dem Karneval de Quebec bringt.
Wir wollen Euch natürlich wieder über anstehende Aktivitäten in Kenntnis setzen und würden uns freuen, Euch bald wieder begrüßen zu dürfen.

Entdecken Sie kanadische Weine in Düsseldorf im Stilwerk am 12. März 2016
Unser erster Treffpunkt im neuen Jahr findet am 12. März 2016 im Düsseldorfer Stilwerk, Grünstraße 15 (in der Nähe zur Königsallee), statt. Beginn ist um 16 Uhr.
Dort findet an diesem Tag die „ProWein goes City“ Veranstaltung der Champagner Galerie mit dem Gastland KANADA statt. Eine europaweit einzigartige Möglichkeit, die Weine aus unserem Lieblingsland Kanada kennenzulernen. Viele Winzer aus Kanada werden anwesend sein. Überzeugt Euch von der hochwertigen Qualität der Premium-Weine made in Canada“. Es wäre toll, wenn ihr zahlreich dabei seid.

„MEETUP FOR CANADIANS“ – Kick-Off Veranstaltung am 10. April 2016
Am 10. April um 10 Uhr findet das “Meetup For Canadians in Düsseldorf” Kick-Off statt. Alle Kanadierinnen und Kanadier sind herzlich eingeladen, sich bei einem sonntäglichen Brunch im Eigelstein im Düsseldorfer Medienhafen (Hammer Straße) untereinander auszutauschen und kennenzulernen.
Bitte gebt die Info an alle Canadians weiter, die ihr kennt! Der Brunch kostet 17,90 Euro / Person. Die Bezahlung erfolgt vor Ort.
Anschließend besteht zum Beispiel die Möglichkeit an einer kleinen Bootsrundfahrt auf dem Rhein mit der Weißen Flotte. Anmeldungen für unser Kick-Off nehmen wir über unsere Webseite entgegen. Anmeldeschluss ist der 03. April 2016!
Fachkräftesicherung und Integration von Migranten am 17. Februar 2016
Unter diesem Thema findet am 17. Februar 2016 um 19 Uhr eine Veranstaltung des German-Canadian Business Club NRW in Kooperation mit dem Bundesverband für Wirtschaftsförderung und Außenwirtschaft und dem Kanadischen Konsulat statt. Veranstaltungsort ist der Industrie-Club Düsseldorf, Elberfelder Str. 6. Sprecher sind: Rainer Schmelzer, Minister für Arbeit, Integration und Soziales in NRW, Marthe Lemay, kanadische Konsulin in Düsseldorf sowie Dr. Jan Schröder, Vizepräsident des Bundesverbanedes für Wirtschaftsförderung und Außenwirtschaft. Discover Canadian wines in Düsseldorf at the Stilwerk on March 12, 2016
Our first Meeting 2016 will be at the Stilwerk in Düsseldorf on Saturday, March 12, 2016. We will meet at 4 pm.
We will join the „ProWein goes City“ event of the „Champagner Galerie“ with the guest country Canada. A unique Europe-wide possibility to get to know the wines from our favorite country Canada. Many Canadian vintners will be present .Convince yourself of the high quality of these premium-wines made in Canada.

“MEETUP FOR CANADIANS” – Our Kick-Off in Düsseldorf on April 10, 2016
We made a plan for a Kick-Off concerning our „Meetup For Canadians in Düsseldorf“.
Let´s meet for a Sunday brunch at the Medienhafen on April 10, 2016 at the Eigelstein, Hammer Str. 19.
The brunch is available until 2 pm. Enjoy the brunch and enjoy the exchange with other Canadians. And maybe you are about to gather some ideas for common events (Thanksgiving, Canada Day etc.) and for a regular „Meetup For Canadians“
The costs for the brunch are 17,90 € per person and have to be paid on site.
After the brunch we can walk along the Rhine promenade and finally do – for example – a panorama boat trip or a boat trip to Kaiserswerth with the White Fleet (Weiße Flotte). It is up to you!
All Canadians are heartily welcome!
