Unternehmenspräsentation Air Canada in Frankfurt
Air Canada, Hahnstr. 70, 60528 Frankfurt – 14. Juni 2019 um 19 Uhr
Am 1. September 1937 wurde der erste Flug der Air Canada, damals noch Trans-Canada Air Lines (TCA) genannt, eingeweiht. Es war ein 50 Minuten Flug zwischen Vancouver und Seattle in einer Lockheed L-10A. Die Maschine transportierte 2 Passagiere und Post. In 1964 wurde TCA zu Kanadas National-Fluglinie und änderte ihren Namen zu dem, den wir heute kennen.
Air Canada gehört heute zu den 20 größten Fluglinien der Welt und besitzt eine der jüngsten Flotten.
Siegfried Gutsch, „Leisure Sales Manager“ von Air Canada in Frankfurt, wird uns die Airline präsentieren und uns noch ein paar „Insider” Informationen verraten.

Canada Table Bremen

Die DKG Regionalgruppe Bremen trifft sich zum regelmäßigen Stammtisch jeden dritten Mittwoch im Monat. Zu leckerem Bier und passendem Essen laden wir Mitglieder und alle Kanada-Liebhaber der Region in das Irish Pub Hegarty’s ein. Wir freuen uns auf den Austausch und einen netten Abend mit euch.

CANADA DAY Countdown in Düsseldorf
Donnerstag, 27. Juni 2019 ab 18 Uhr im Biergarten Rheinblick 33
Die DKG Rhein-Ruhr und der KANADATREFF Düsseldorf haben für die nächste Veranstaltung einen neuen Termin fixiert. Genau vier Tage vor Canada Day. Also läuten wir den Canada Day Countdown.
Wir treffen uns am 27. Juni 2019 um 18 Uhr im Biergarten RheinBlick 33 (Robert-Lehr Ufer 2) direkt am Rheinufer gelegen, in unmittelbarer Nähe zu den Rheinterrassen.
Dieser Biergarten ist mit öffentlichen Transportmitteln (U78 und U79 bis Victoriaplatz / Klever Straße) gut zu erreichen. Von der Haltestelle sind es etwa 10 Minuten Fussweg. Ebenso befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe ein größerer Parkplatz am Rheinufer. Es gibt verschiedenste Getränke (natürlich auch alkoholfrei) und verschiedenste Gerichte.
Wir können leider keine Platzreservierung vor Ort machen! Aber wir finden uns garantiert.
Bei schlechtem Wetter ist der Biergarten leider geschlossen. Daher werden wir Euch in diesem Fall telefonisch kontaktieren (oder per E-Mail) und mit Euch ggf. eine kurzfristige Alternative mitteilen. Kanadisches Wochenende der Deutsch-Kanadischen Gesellschaft in Lahr
vom 05. bis 07. Juli 2019
Den Ehrenpreis für besonderes Engagement um die deutsch-kanadischen Beziehungen haben wir beim DKG-Jahrestreffen 2018 an die Bürger der Stadt Lahr verliehen. Auf Einladung der Stadt Lahr werden wir 2019 im historisch und kulturell von den engen Beziehungen zu Kanadiern vor Ort und Kanadiern in ihrer Partnerstadt Belleville, Ontario, geprägten Little Canada feiern. Wir laden alle DKG-Mitglieder und KanadafreundInnen zu diesem besonderen Jahresfest ein.

Traditionelles „Get Together“ – ein lockerer und geselliger Einstieg in das Wochenende, das dieses Mal im Gasthaus Grüner Baum stattfinden wird.
Samstag, 06. Juli
Für den Samstagvormittag bieten wir Aktivitäten mit regionalem und kanadischem Bezug. Ob es eher eine Führung in den umliegenden Weinbergen oder in der Stadt auf den Spuren der Kanadier sein darf, entscheiden Sie individuell. Am Nachmittag treffen wir uns zur Mitgliederversammlung. Der Höhepunkt des Wochenendes wird unser Festakt sein, den wir im historischen Haus zum Pflug im Herzen der Stadt begehen werden. Neben der Verleihung des DKG-Ehrenpreises, können Sie gespannt sein auf einen musikalischen und humorvollen Abend aus kanadischen und Schwarzwälder Komponenten. Der spektakuläre Abschluss dieses Abends wird ein Lichterfest mit Feuerwerk im Stadtpark sein, der nur wenige Gehminuten von unserem Veranstaltungsort entfernt liegt.

In der Orangerie des Stadtparks erwartet Sie am Sonntagvormittag ein Empfang der Stadt Lahr.

Company presentation Air Canada in Frankfurt

CANADA DAY Countdown in Düsseldorf

The German-Canadian Association Rhein-Ruhr and the KANADATREFF Düsseldorf fixed another event. Exactly four days before Canada Day. So we are going to start with the Canada Day Countdown.
We will meet at the beergarten Rheinblick 33 (Robert-Lehr Ufer 2) close to the Rheinterrassen at the Rhine on June 27, 2019 at 6 pm
The beergarden is easy accessible with public transport (U78 and U79 up to the stop Victoriaplatz / Klever Straße). From there it´s just a short walk (approx. 10 minutes) to the venue. There is also a big parking lot close to the venue close to the Rheinterrassen. Food and drinks are available at this self-service beergarden.
We cannot make any reservation at the venue, but we are sure: We will find each other.
If the weather conditions are worse the beergarden is closed. In this case we are going to contact you either by phone / mobile or by e-mail in order to fix maybe shortly some alternatives. Canadian Weekend arranged by the German-Canadian Association (DKG) in Lahr
from July 5 until 7, 2019
The honorary award for special engagement concerning the German-Canadian relationships was given to the citizens of Lahr during the annual meeting of the DKG in 2018 in Cologne. At the invitation of the city of Lahr we are going to celebrate the Canadian weekend in „Little Canada“ this year, as Lahr is dominated by historical and cultural connections to Canadians on-site as well as to Canadians in their twinning to Belleville, Ontario. We invite all members of the German-Canadian Association and all Canada Lovers and Canadians to this special annual event.

For the Saturday morning we have activities with regional and canadian content. You individually decide if it will be either a guided tour in the surrounding vineyards or a tour on the tracks of the Canadians. In the afternoon we will meet for our annual meeting of the members. The highlight will be our ceremony at the historical „Haus zum Pflug“ in the heart of the city of Lahr. Beside the awarding of the honorary price of the DKG, you can be curious about our evening filled with musical and humorous components from the Black Forrest as well as from Canada. The spectacular final will be a light festival with fireworks in the Stadtpark, which is just a few footsteps away from the location.
