My name is Monya Gregorius. I’m a dual-citizen … Canadian and German.

I lived in Saarland, Germany, till I was five. My Father was stationed at the Royal Canadian Airforce (RCAF) in Lahr (Baden-Württemberg), St. Avold (France) and Zweibrücken (Rheinland-Pfalz).

At the age of five, we moved to Ottawa, Ontario (and Manotick, Ontario), then to Vancouver, British Columbia (and Sea Island and Delta), and the last five years in Norquay, Saskatchewan.

After graduating highschool, I decided to move back to my grandparents in Saarland/Germany ( I actually only wanted to stay a year). I have an apprenticeship and diploma in industrialmanagment and as a foreign-language correspondent.  I’m employed at the state lottery of Saarland „Saarland–Sporttoto GmbH“ since 1985.

Since the first day I moved to Saarland, I was always wondering, if I was the only Canadian in Saarland. More so now, that my daughter moved to Canada in 2018 (Vancouver) and where the rest of my family lives.

It would be just so amazing, getting Canadians together again in Germany (as modest as we are 😉 ), with those, whom are so overwhelmed and fascinated from our home country… Canada.

Let us continue to spread the word of interchange, interaction and diversity … the „basic ingredients“ of all Canadians.
